Production Planning Officer – Window Manufacturing / Window Technician (80–100%), Heritage Conservation, Zumikon ZH

We are always looking for new talent – have you got what it takes?

"As old as possible, as new as necessary" – this is the principle behind our restoration of historic windows on heritage-protected and inventory-listed buildings. Wherever possible, we preserve the original; where replacement is unavoidable, we craft new windows true to the historic design. In doing so, we work closely with the heritage conservation authorities, fellow tradespeople and clients.

Since 1985, Schreinerei Eigenmann AG has stood for excellence in solid wood craftsmanship. Our many years of knowledge and experience in woodworking make us one of Switzerland's leading specialists in heritage-protected and conservation-worthy buildings, in the expert restoration of period properties, and in the fitting-out, design and bespoke manufacture of interiors and furniture. Around 35 employees bring together joinery, window restoration, painting, our own glazing workshop and building surveys, all under one roof in Zumikon.

We are looking for a committed Production Planning Officer – Window Manufacturing / Window Technician (80–100%)  to strengthen our Heritage Conservation team in Zumikon.

  • Supporting building surveys: systematically recording windows on site with photographs, documenting damage patterns, categorising them by construction type, profile cross-section and condition class, and contributing to the damage catalogue
  • Carrying out structural and technical assessments and calculations
  • Supporting project managers on technical matters

What You Bring
  • A completed vocational qualification in construction or a related trade (joiner, carpenter, metal fabricator, draughtsperson or similar)
  • Sound knowledge of window construction and a strong technical interest
  • Advanced CAD skills
  • An independent, quality-conscious way of working
  • An advantage: experience restoring historic windows, or further training as a "Craftsperson in Heritage Conservation" (Federal Professional Certificate) or similar
